Sarah Druce

Vice President/Secretary and Inaugural Board Member

Sarah's passion for the wool industry started from a young age, growing up on her family's sheep property in central Victoria. Sarah has experience across working across many sectors of the wool industry, including working on farm and in shearing sheds to wool buying, brokering and trading.

Sarah is a wool buyer and trader for Australia's largest wool exporter Techwool Trading. As a wool buyer, you'll find her bidding in the weekly Melbourne wool auctions or on the show floor valuing wool for the next week's sale. Sarah's role as a wool trader sees her liaising with overseas clients daily negotiating the best prices for overseas wool exports.

Sarah has a passion for supporting young women as they start their career in the wool industry. Eager to share her wealth of knowledge, she hopes to be a valuable resource as a mentor for up and coming young women offering guidance and support as they embark on life in the wool industry. Sarah believes the Women in Wool community gives women from all over the wool industry networking opportunities that will help to strengthen their connection within the wool industry.

Sarah is well qualified for her role in the Women in Wool organisation; she has a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Agricultural Science from the University of New England.

Outside of her job, Sarah works alongside her husband on their farm. On the weekends Sarah can be found enjoying the company of her Jack Russell named Rocket (proudly the 6th fastest little dog in Kyneton 2022) or doing a deep dive into anything Taylor Swift related.
