Bianca Heaney
Executive Director and Founder of Women In Wool in 2020
Bianca is the Executive Director for Women in Wool, a position she has held since inception. Bianca is responsible for the operational management of Women in Wool, including all of the association’s legal and financial obligations. Bianca has a solid business background, also owning and running a structural steel construction business.
Bianca brings a wealth of experience to the position of Executive Director, having worked across most areas of the Australian wool industry, including on-farm, within the garment and later-stage processing industry, as well as immediate past Executive Manager of Australian Wool Industries Secretariat, Secretary of Wool Industries Australia and several other wool industry organisations. She was also involved with a number of IWTO Working Groups and attended many Congresses mentoring the young professionals. In addition, she is the President of Zonta Club of Melton, an International organisation which aims to build a better world for women and girls. Bianca is also a director and public officer of multiple companies and associations.
Bianca’s vision for Women in Wool is an organisation which will empower women in all sectors to reach their goals, to have confidence, share their skills and support each other in their journey towards excellence.
Outside of her career, Bianca is involved with Rotary International, enjoys gardening, sewing, musicals, theatre, and has been heavily involved with ‘Hay Runners’, an organisation which transports donated hay to producers affected by natural disasters.
